Vivian Bottari died on April 14th, 2015. She was 95 years old.
Vivian was born in Manhattan and attended Cathedral High School before entering Mount St. Vincent College in Riverdale, NY where she studied science and graduated with a BS. Her passion, however, was for fashion design and after graduation she made her career in the fashion industry as a designer under the direction of her mother, Pauline Fracchia, head designer for R & K Originals.
A devoted wife to her late husband Leo Joseph Bottari she was also loving mother to her son Paul and Gregory who pre-deceased her. Vivian found time to volunteer tirelessly for the Red Cross. She was also President of the Rosary Alter Society, President of the Lady's of Charity, Board member for Mount Loretta and an active member of the Pelham Country Club and the Pelham Manor Club.
Vivian is predeceased by her husband, Leo Bottari, her son Gregory and her brother, Alfred Fracchia. She is survived by her son, Paul and his wife Susan. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Laura and Paul Bottari.
A Celebration of Vivian's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, April 17th. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 18th at the Church of St. Catharine, 25 Second Avenue, Pelham, NY.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
