Vincent Norman Cotrona of Mount Vernon, New York, passed away on February 9th, 2025, at the age of 60. Born in Mount Vernon to Vincent and Joan Cotrona, he was the oldest of three children, coming into the world just three minutes before his twin brother, John.
Vincent was raised in Mount Vernon, where he graduated from Mount Vernon High School. He went on to attend Mercy College and later worked in the security industry. Vincent went to work for United Alarms as a security specialist, where he made a lasting impact. Outside of work, Vincent had a passion for aviation and loved flying planes, golfing, traveling on adventures, and enjoying fast food. Above all, he was a family-oriented man, especially close to his twin brother, John.
Vincent will be remembered for his wit, his enormous heart, and his unrelenting spirit of adventure. He was often described as a gentle giant, always ready with a laugh and a joke, and was known for his kindness, determination, and loyalty to his friends and family. He embraced every moment and was always there when you needed him. Whether on a travel adventure or simply spending time with those he loved, Vincent’s joy for life was contagious.
He is survived by his mother, Joan; his twin brother, John; and his younger brother, Steven. Vincent will be deeply missed by his large circle of friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He is predeceased by his father, Vincent Sr.
