Steven P Curlen

Steven P. Curlen of New Rochelle, NY passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 62. Steve was born in Carlisle, PA to Hubert and Shirley Curlen. He attended Waynesboro Area High School and graduated in June of 1976. Afterwards he attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated May 1980 with B.S. in Safety Science. Steve received a Master of Business Administration degree from Iona College after graduating, June 2006. Steven worked as a Senior Risk Management Specialist for Wright Specialty Insurance.

Steve was an instructor and nationally ranked Tango dancer. He was also an avid golfer and was a licensed USCG Captain and Sailing Instructor. Steve enjoyed playing tennis, racquetball, and was an accomplished wrestler. Steve will be remembered for his passionate nature, giving his all to everything he took part in.

Steve is survived by his mother; Shirley Curlen in Ocean View DE, his brothers; Richard Fox and wife Louise Fox in Weston-Super-Mare England, Robert Curlen and wife Kit Curlen in Hanover PA, his sister; Diane Slebodnick in Ocean View DE and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Steve will be missed by his family, his Waynesboro wrestling family, and everyone who knew him. Steve is preceded in death by his beloved daughter; Marisa Curlen and his father Hubert Curlen.
