Stephen Anthony Garbarini

Stephen Garbarini, a lifelong Pelham resident, passed away in Greenwich on Saturday, April 25th, surrounded by the people who loved him most. He was 66. An avid tennis player, his proudest accomplishments were winning the 5.0. Men's National Championship, finishing a particularly difficult New York Times crossword puzzle, and cracking an excellent cheesy joke. He is survived by his wife Karen, his three daughters—Sam, Sarah, and Jenny,— his grandchildren Sadie and Jake, and an excellent collection of Italian Amarone. A reception will be held in his honor on Wednesday, April 29 from 5pm-8pm at the New York Athletic Club at Travers Island. In lieu of flower, please make donations in his name to the American Cancer Society.
