Stefanie Dale Oravec

Stefani Dale Oravec of Pelham, NY passed away on Friday, November 25th. She was 51 years old. Born in Queens, New York to Gertrude and Benoit Strum, Stefani was a true New York City girl. She attended High School in Queens and went on to Columbia University where she received her Bachelors of Arts Degree.

Initially, Stefani worked in the legal field but eventually found her creative outlet in Bead Making and would become self-employed in this industry. She was full of life and loved the City she was born to. Often she could be found dining in Brooklyn, City Island or Manhattan. Stefani was funny, loving and outgoing. She always said what was on her mind. A kind and caring person, one of her favorite sayings was "Every little thing goes a long way." Those she cared about the most were her family. Her son, Patrick and her husband Ronald, whom she married in 2007 and stepdaughter Cristina.

Stefani is survived by her beloved husband Ronald, son Patrick Hayes and stepdaughter Cristina Oravec. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Bart and sister, Cherie. She will remain in the hearts of her mother and father-in-law, Pamela and Ronald Oravec Sr.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 30th from 4:00 -8:00 PM at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY. The family will be at Woodlawn Cemetery on Thursday, December 1st to inter and pay their final respects to Stefani.
