Shane Quinn of Woodlawn, New York and County Tyrone Ireland passed away on Monday, May 24rd. He was 39 years old. Raised in Drumquin by his parents Eamonn and Patricia Quinn, Shane was one of six children. He attended St. Joseph and St. Mary's Primary Schools and St. Patrick's Secondary School.
After school, Shane went to work for the RJ Smith Fabrication Co. for seven years. Wanting to seek out new opportunities; Shane left Ireland and moved to Woodlawn, New York, US in 2000. He would find work in the construction industry and create a life for himself with many friends.
Shane was a kind and good-natured man. He cared deeply for his family and friends. One of his favorite pass times was watching soccer, especially his beloved Manchester United. An easygoing man, Shane was by all accounts very handsome. He could be often heard joking, "By God, I'm good looking". And indeed he was, inside and out.
Shane is survived by his parents, Eamonn and Patricia and his brothers and sisters: Aaron, Fiona, Brenda and Dermot. He will be missed by his son Ryan. He will be lovingly remembered by his fiancé, Jeanette O'Gorman. Shane is predeceased by his brother Kevin.
A celebration of Shane's life will be held at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham, NY on Saturday, May 28th from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
