Saul Freitas

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Saul M. Freitas, age 72, who passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, in Manhattan. Born on June 25, 1952, Saul was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew him.

 Saul had a long and distinguished career as an accountant and financial planner, where his expertise and integrity earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike. He was known for his meticulous work ethic and his ability to offer sound advice to anyone who sought it, but it was his warm heart and sense of humor that truly made him memorable.

 Saul was a loving and devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances, his two daughters, Alessandrina and Theresa, son-in-law, Bret, two cherished grandchildren, Hudson and Dean, his sisters, Bernadette and Maria, and a fur grandson, Dexter, who brought him much joy. Saul's family was his greatest pride, and he spent his life creating a strong foundation of love, support, and laughter for them.

 A man of quiet strength, Saul will be remembered for his generosity, his kind spirit, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched, both personally and professionally.

 A wake will be held at Pelham Funeral Home on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Pius X in Scarsdale. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Saul’s life and honoring his memory.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Saul’s honor.
