Rosette DeLotto of Bronxville, NY passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 17th. She was 95 years old. Born in the Bronx to Donato Petrone and Clotilda Grasso. Rosette was one of three siblings raised in a loving household.
After attending Jane Adam's High School in the Bronx, where she studied Millinery skills, Rosette worked for Henry Bendel and Madame Nicole in the millinery arts. She loved working with her hands and creating beautiful hats. But her true love was Mario DeLotto, who she would meet and marry in 1944 after his service from WWII was over. The two would be married for 66 years. Rosette loved being a wife and mother.
Creating a warm and loving household was what she excelled at. She loved crocheting and knitting for family. She could often be found cooking for family and friends or watching a good cooking show on television. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed many memories of trips together with her beloved, Mario.
Rosette is predeceased by her husband, Mario. She is survived by her son, Daniel, and daughter Virginia (James) Anderson. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Joseph and Victoria Anderson. Rosette will be lovingly remembered by her great grandchild, Zozan.
A celebration of Rosette's life will take place on Monday, June 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 15 Cedar St, Bronxville, NY at 9:45 AM on Tuesday, June 21st. Interment will follow directly at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.
