Rosemarie Grace D'Iorio died on October 13, 2014. She was born in the Bronx, NY on July 21, 1948 and attended Holy Cross School. Her love of reading led her to pursue her education at Hunter College and ultimately achieve an MA in Education. She met her husband Alfonso in 1968 in Eastchester and as luck would have it, they were both looking for dates for New Year's Eve. The two were married in April of 1970. The couple moved to Pelham in 1977 were they would raise their two girls Lisa and Jeanine.

Rosemarie was a teacher and taught at St. Theresa's in the Bronx, in the Bronx Public School System and ultimately at the Hutchinson School in Pelham where she taught for 28 years until her retirement three years ago.

A woman of deep faith, she loved her family, to travel, her NY sports teams and her "circle of friends". In 1989 she realized a life long dream and built a house in Montauk where she would enjoy many happy times with friends and family.

Predeceased by her husband Alfonso in 2009, Rosemarie will be sadly missed by her daughters: Lisa and husband Chris Gruttadauria and Jeanine and husband Patrick Stevener. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Madison, Sienna, Jake and Abby. Her sister Denise and Denise's husband Joseph as well as her nephew Christopher and niece Stephanie survive her.
