Ronald (Ron) Uzzo of Pelham, New York, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. He was 82 years old. Born in the Bronx, New York to Lily Insalaco and Frank P. Uzzo, Ronald was one of three children. Ronald graduated from high school in the Bronx and later completed his associate degree from Westchester Community College. He would later meet his wife, Louise Rayner, while they both worked for Technical Material Corporation. The couple would marry and move to Queens, before finding their final home in Pelham, New York where they would raise their twin daughters Marie and Michelle.
Ronald spent most of his career working for Universal Voltronics, located in Mount Kisco, NY, and later in Connecticut. He had a strong work ethic as a printed circuit board designer but always ensured his family came first. Ronald was a sergeant in the Army National Guard for 6 years and was honored with the Marksman Badge. In his spare time, Ronald loved going to The Borgata or Foxwoods for weekend trips, where he enjoyed the Blackjack table. Ronald was an avid investor and had a passion for the stock market. He also liked collecting stamps, American coins, and baseball cards. He was an avid Yankees fan and participated in several fantasy football and baseball leagues with his friends.
Ronald Uzzo will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, relative, and wonderful friend. He will be dearly missed; however, his family finds comfort in the many treasured memories he leaves behind.
Ronald Uzzo is survived by his wife, Louise Uzzo, and his twin daughters, Marie Tripp and Michelle Luongo, and their husbands, Dominic Luongo and Christopher Tripp. He will be missed by his 4 grandchildren Ryan Tripp, Alexandra Tripp, Olivia Luongo, and Ava Luongo. He will also be remembered by his sister Linda Uzzo and brother Anthony Uzzo and wife Joyce Uzzo and nieces and nephews Sondra Fizzignolia, Paul Fizzignolia, Pamela Lorence, and Stephanie Martin.
A celebration of Ronald Uzzo’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York, on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 4-8 pm. Interment will be on Saturday morning at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York.
