Robert "Robby" Summo passed away suddenly at 52 years of age. Robby was born in Mt. Vernon, NY to Dr. Anthony and Mary Summo and raised in Pelham. He graduated from Pelham High school in 1980 before going on to follow his automotive passion. Robbie worked for the DEP in NYC. before working for the NYPD as a Master Mechanic. He loved life, his friends, fishing, boating, days at the auto racetrack. Most of all, he loved his family and friends. He will be missed by his mother Mary D. Summo, his brother Tony & wife Barbara, his sister Mary Maida and her husband David Felten, his brother Michael and his wife Linda, his brother Joseph and his wife Joan and his brother-in-law Louis Bellofatto. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, Michael Maida, Matthew Maida, Christian Bellofatto, Elizabeth Summo, Anthony V. Summo, Mark and his wife Shelia Bellofatto, Jessica Kingsbury and her husband Eric, Kathryn Summo and Michael Summo. He is predeceased by his father Dr. Anthony Summo, his sister Tereasa Bellofatto and his nephew Nicholas Summo. A Life Celebration will be held Sunday, June 22nd from 2-4 & 6-8pm followed by a Christian service at 8pm at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham, NY. Donations may be made in his memory to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.
