Rita Ann Williams

Rita Ann Williams passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022. She was 68 years old. Rita was born on August 31, 1953 in New York City to the late Gerald Williams and Louise France. She attended catholic school until 8th grade and then transitions to George Washington high school and joined Monarch Temple #815 Sr. Elks in October 1973. Rita worked for The United States Postal Service for 30 years, until she retired in 2018.

Rita’s favorite past time activity was cruising. She loved to visit the Islands of the Caribbean and would cruise every other year. Rita was very fashionable and loved to shop and get her nails/hair done. Rita was a hard worker but always made time for family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Despite her health struggles over the past few years, Rita never missed a family event and was someone her friends and family could rely on.

Rita will be remembered as a kind, loving, strong willed, generous, lively, and fashionable woman. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Rita is survived by her son; Andre Harry, her Grandchildren; Keenie, Tara, Rara, Dayshawn and by her beloved Great Grandchildren; A.J., Anya, Zion, Amyra, and Aslin. She is also survived by a host of Cousins, and other relatives. Rita is predeceased by her siblings, Gerald Williams Jr. and Regina Warley as well as her Grandson Andre.

A celebration of Rita’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham NY on Wednesday, June 8th from 9am-12pm. Interment service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. For more information or to leave a condolence please visit www.pelhamfuneral.com
