Pamela Rose Willis of Mount Vernon New York passed away on April 27 2021 at 72 years old. Born and raised in Kingston Jamaica, Pamela was the eldest of three children. She was raised by her parents Constance Brown and Valentine Gobern. It was during her early years that she would meet Stanford Palms in Kingston, Jamaica. The couple would raise six children together. Pamela worked from home while raising her six children.
Pamela would immigrate to the United States in pursuit of a better life for herself and her children in 1988. She moved to Mount Vernon, New York where she immediately attended school and became a Health Care Worker. Once Pamela established herself in the United States she was joined by her children. Pamela loved being surrounded by her family, and will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her delicious meals, and great laughter.
Pamela also had a second family at New Life Baptist Church in Mount Vernon. Pamela attended church every Sunday and was always there for every event. She would also volunteer her time to help others. She loved to cook and feed the less fortunate.
Pamela will be remembered as a kind, loving, caring, God-fearing, and generous person. She had a free spirit and was always there to help a friend or stranger in need. She will be missed by her immediate family, as well as her church family and her many friends.
A celebration of Pamela's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Friday May 14th from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at New Life Baptist church located at 19 South Third Ave, Mount Vernon New York on Saturday May 15th at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla.
