Nell Mary Mancuso

Nell Mary Mancuso of Pelham, N.Y passed away peacefully among family on Thursday, July 21, 2016. She was 90 years old. Lee was born to Frank and Nancy Parisi on April 25, 1926 in Pittsfield, MA and raised in the Bronx, N.Y.

Lee was a great cook who over the years made many of her Italian favorite dishes for hundreds of Pelham High School student-athletes when her three sons played sports in H.S. She loved her New York Yankees and her son's College of Mt St. Vincent basketball teams.

Lee will be remembered for her caring, generosity, kindness and the great love she gave to her family and friends. She worked as a volunteer for 25 years at St. Catharine's Church in Pelham, was a member of Pelville Association, a Cub Scout den mother, and assistant little league coach.

Loving wife to the late Chief Patrick F. Mancuso and mother to Chuck (Cynthia), Pat Jr. and Robert. Loving grandmother to Lisa Marie, Frank and Patrick III. Loving sister to the late Rose DePaul, Joanne Muller and Frank Parisi and loving relative to Maria Murphy (Carlisto), Anthony DePaul, Barbara Pelrine and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special longtime friends included friend of 85 years, Nina Pistone and Susie Orsino, Gloria Bombace, Lorraine Pompeo, and her great doctor, Dr. Vincenzio Cirillo.

Family will receive friends on Monday, July 25th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at 10:00 AM at St. Catharine's Church, 25 Second Ave., Pelham, NY. Interment will follow the Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
