Myrna Dieffenthaller of Pelham, formerly of Yonkers NY, passed away on August 22nd, 2020. She was 80 years old. Born in Trinidad, Myrna was one of five children. While living in Trinidad, she met her best friend and future husband Colin Dieffenthaller through mutual friends. The couple married and would eventually move to New York with their children in 1969. Myrna had 5 children, each in which she loved dearly and unconditionally. She was a nurturing woman who valued and cherished her time with the family. Myrna enjoyed cooking her signature dishes of stew chicken and pie, which always left everyone satisfied. To make sure you were full, she would chase you around the house until every bite was gone. Additionally, she enjoyed spending time by the water, never leaving her island roots. Lastly, Myrna loved singing along to her music, always tuning to the "oldies but goodies".
Myrna will be remembered as a loving, caring, and selfless woman. She was always more than willing to lend a helping hand, no matter what the situation.
Myrna leaves behind her sons Richard "Ooch" (Lisa) Dieffenthaller and Anthony "Tony" (Sang) Dieffenthaller. Her daughters; Debbie Dieffenthaller (Ralph) Santana, Nicole (William) Weinblatt and Dawn (Joseph) Walsh. She will live on in the hearts of her 14 grand-children and 11 great-grand-children. She is predeceased by her husband Colin Dieffenthaller. Myrna will be missed by all.
A celebration of Myrna's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham New York on Wednesday, August 26th from 4-8 PM.
