Muriel Persanis passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2020. She was born on September 11, 1930 in New York City to Matthew and Christine Hanrahan.

Muriel is survived by her loving family, daughter Christine Persanis of Yorktown Heights, son Matthew Persanis (Claire) of Pelham NY, sisters Freida Larkin and Christine Zicchinelli, brother Matthew Hanrahan (Claire) and her brother in law, Mel Lake, along with many nieces and nephews. Her grandsons, Luke and Caleb Persanis, were her pride and joy. Muriel was pre deceased by her beloved husband, Harry, her sister Zenda Lake and her brothers in law, Harold Larkin and Carl Zicchinelli.

Muriel was born and raised in Manhattan, NY before moving to Queens, Schenectady and Bellmore, NY. She worked for OTB as an accounts payable manager and enjoyed dining out, reading, going to the movies and on vacations with her family. Muriel and Harry travelled extensively and enjoyed spending time with their grandsons. She was a fierce advocate for the developmentally disabled and worked tirelessly on her daughter's behalf.

. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 10:30 am at The Church of the Holy Family, 83 Clove Road. New Rochelle, NY.
