Michael Paul Karpf

Michael Karpf of New Rochelle, New York, passed away on August 12th. He was 83 years old. He was born in Atlantic City, NJ , to Benjamin and Susan Karpf. Michael was an only child. He graduated from Pelham Memorial High School. He would later meet his wife , Sielginde. The couple married and moved to New Rochelle , where they raised their two children, Andreas and Peter.

 Michael served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. He later owned his own store in New Rochelle. He had a strong work ethic and loved his job. Michael always made sure family came first and always enjoyed spending time surrounded by family and friends. 

 Michael will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed; however, his family finds comfort in the many treasured memories he leaves behind.

 Michael is survived by his two sons, Andreas and Peter. He will be missed by his three grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, and Andrew. He is predeceased by his wife Sieglinde.

 A celebration of Michael’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham, NY, on Thursday, August 15th. His burial will take place at Kensico Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to either St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) or American Jewish World Service (ajws.org).
