Michael Comerford, 64, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2020. He was a lifelong resident of the Bronx, son of the late Michael Comerford Sr. and Jean (Giammetto) Comerford. He had a passion for horses, where he worked as stable hand through his adolescence and soon after, began his 30-year career as a custodial engineer for Park West High School, a devoted member of the Local 94 Union of Operating Engineers.
Michael enjoyed spending time with his children and family, hanging out with friends at Glenn Island, watching civilization and animal documentary series on television, driving around the Bronx listening to WBLS on the radio, attending Yankees games and other sporting events, the beach, and being in South Jersey.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, charisma, strong work-ethic and the love he had for his children and family.
Michael was survived by his two children, Carmine and Briana Comerford, his stepson, Kyle Schaffer, his former wife, Grace Fuentes, his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Tony Mustich, his sisters Jeannie and Kerri Comerford, and his niece and nephew, Jillian and Luke Mustich.
