Maureen L. Leak

Maureen Linda Leak, of New Rochelle, NY, passed away on January 13, 2022. She was 78 years old. Born in Queens, NY to George Upton and Elvira Wolf

Maureen was a Graduate of the State University of New York with a Degree in Nursing,
Maureen loved working as A Registered Nurse at United Hebrew Home where she worked for 38 years. Maureen will be remembered as a caring and trustworthy woman who was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, who always put her family’s needs above all else. Maureen loved vacationing and spending time with her family in Cape Cod. Maureen loved listening to Doo Wop Music. Maureen also loved going to Greasy Nicks, going to dinner with her sons having a glass of wine and Ice Cream to finish off the night.

Maureen is survived by her 4 sons Thomas Leak Jr, Robert and Noelle Leak, Michael and Debbie Leak and Kevin and Jennifer Leak; 12 grandchildren, Thomas, Taylor, Hunter, Sophia, Robert, Jenna, Christopher, Brenden, Anthony, Jeremy, Julia and Ashley; 5 brothers Robert, Tom, Dennis, Edward and Raymond Upton; 4 sisters, Patricia Stamm, Adrianne Upton, Lorraine Weiss and Jerilynne Kline. Maureen is predeceased by her husband Thomas Leak, her sister Dolores McGuire and her brother George Upton.

A celebration of Maureen’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham NY on Wednesday, January19th from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Family Church located at 83 Clove Rd New Rochelle, NY. on Thursday, January 20 at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
