Mary Sacchetillo

Mary Sacchetillo, a lifelong resident of Pelham, passed away in her home on February 11, 2019.

Married to her husband Ray who predeceased her, Mary is survived by daughter Nancy and her husband Tom; daughter Gina; grandsons Jeff and his wife Maria, David and his wife Meghan; great grandchildren Kate, Matthew, Nicholas, and Benjamin; her brother Barney and his wife Ellen; and her sister-in-law Helen. In addition she leaves behind special nieces and nephews and their families as well as good friends and neighbors.

The youngest of five children, Mary was preceded in death by her parents Vittorio and Pierina Bertoldi; sister Rose and her husband Al; brother Joe and his wife Louise; brother Tony and his wife Dora; granddaughter Katherine and son-in-law Gene.

After a career in banking, Mary worked with the Pelham Public schools until her retirement. She will be remembered for her faith, love of family, and zest for life. A visitation will be held at Pelham Funeral Home on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. and will be followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, Pelham, NY. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery immediately following the mass.
