Mary Molluzzo of Pelham passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7th at United Hebrew Nursing Home in New Rochelle, New York. She was 93 years old. Mary was born to Salvatore and Carmela Molluzzo in Manhattan, NY. She was the youngest of three children. Mary's passion for sewing and making clothes at a young age lead her to create and run her own business, Tonmar, on 239th Street in the Bronx.
Mary was generous and an active volunteer at Albert Einstein Hospital. She loved to laugh, take care of her plants, her poodle, Bella, work crossword puzzles and spend time with the family. Mary will be remembered as a loving, loyal, and generous lady with a great sense of humor. She will be missed by her nephew, Salvatore, her nieces, Mary (Tom Rigdon) and Carmella (Tom McMahan), her grandnephews and her grandnieces.
A Celebration of Mary's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, March 13th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Catharine's Church located at 25 Second Ave, Pelham, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 14th.
