Marie Judie Desir

Marie "Judie" Desir of Yonkers, New York passed away on Monday, July 12th, 2021. She was 38 years old. Born in Brooklyn to Jean Desir and Marie Nivoze. Judie was one of 3 children. She was raised in Mount Vernon where she graduated from Mount Vernon High School in the Class of 2001. After graduating High School Judie attended Apex Technical School where she received a degree as an automotive technician. It was during her time at Apex she would meet her partner of 18 years Fernando Heredia Jr. It was love at first sight. They met and connected in their first class together and as they say the rest is history.

Judie loved spending time with her family. She loved all animals, but cats were her favorite. Judie loved listening to music, her all-time favorite were 80's ballads. On her down time, she enjoyed watching reality TV, Golden Girls, anime and cartoons.
Judie never got angry or upset but was loving, caring and patient. She was always there for her family and her friends. She will always be remembered as generous, carefree, and free spirited. Her heart was huge.
Judie is survived by her mother Marie, her sisters Carol and Mariane Desir and her partner Jimmy. Also, Fernando Heredia Jr her partner in crime. She will be missed by her aunts and uncles, her many cousins and everyone who knew her. She is predeceased by her father Jean and her grandparents.
A celebration of Judie's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham New York on Monday, July 19th, 2021 from 4-8PM. Interment will be private. For more information or to leave a condolence please visit pelhamfuneral.com
