Margaret Walker of Three Bridges, NJ passed away at home on Sunday, November 20, she was 75 years old. Born in the Bronx, NY to Antoinette and Cornelius McGeechan, Margaret attended school in Pelham, NY and graduated from Pelham Memorial High School. She went on to attend the College of New Rochelle and graduated with her degree in 1962. The following year, Margaret would marry Thomas Walker. The two would be married for 53 years. The couple lived most of their married lives in Pelham. Margaret was happy raising her family and being a devoted housewife and mother. She loved to sew and cook and take care of her family. A truly selfless person, Margaret always thought of others and would give away anything she had to fill the needs of others. A woman of deep faith, Margaret was a loyal parishioner of the Church of St. Catharine's in Pelham. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Her greatest joy, however, was her husband, children and grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas and their children: Ellen (Joseph) Rodrigues, Robert (Singh), Laura (Richard) Vasami, Patricia (Peter) Reynolds and Heather (James) Tillou. She will remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Alyssa, Jessica, Melissa, Jenna, Aiden and James.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 22nd from 9:00 -10:30 AM at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following the viewing, at 11:00 AM at St Catharine's Church, 25 Second Ave., Pelham, NY.
