Margaret DeLucia

Margaret DeLucia (Margie) of Pelham Manor, New York passed away on Monday, December 7th, 2020. She was 86 years old. Born in Claverack, New York to August and Filomena Lanzetta, Margie was the youngest of two girls. Margie grew up in the Bronx alongside her sister, Jo, where Margie attended local schools. She graduated from Columbus High School making lifelong friendships. She would later meet her husband, Raymond DeLucia. He was an architect by profession and the love of her life. They would marry at St. Francis Xavier Church in the Bronx and moved to Pelham Manor after welcoming their daughter, Frances. Margie was a woman of tenacious and resilient character. Sadly, her husband, Raymond, would pass 9 years after their wedding and Margaret would raise their only daughter Frances by herself.
Margie always added joy and an element of fun into life. She enjoyed playing cards and watching her beloved Yankees. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She would always play with her grandchildren once they came home from school, ensuring that many laughs were had. She will be remembered as a good hearted, fun loving woman who was generous, lively and caring. She will be missed by her daughter Frances and son-in-law Bob, her grandchildren: Jane, Bobby, Audra, Elizabeth, Hannah and William. She is also survived by her sister Jo, her two nieces Carole and Jennifer, her nephew August and grandnephew AJ.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 575 Fowler Avenue in Pelham Manor New York on Thursday, December 10th, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. For more information or to leave a condolence, please visit pelhamfuneral.com.
