Manfred Oskar Wuttke, 84 of Mt Vernon NY, passed away on Sunday November 1, 2020 at New Rochelle Hospital after a long illness. Known for his kind spirit, was loved by all who knew him.
This man of faith was born in Reppersdorf, Germany on December 3, 1935. The family moved to the USA in 1954 originally in Rocky Point, Long Island. He was a long-time resident of New Rochelle prior to moving to Mt Vernon in 2000.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Manfred was a member of IUPAT Union (retired in 2000.) He was a long-time member of the Bronx Masons and was a Mason for over 50 years. He was also an active member in the Veterans group Post 8 in New Rochelle, until illnesses prevented him from continuing. He also served as a former Chairman of the Covenant Church in New Rochelle on Mayflower Ave.
He is survived by his wife of over 58 years Eileen. He is also survived by his brother Walter, sons: Michael, Peter, Erik and his wife Salina. He has four Grandchildren: Jonathan, Calla, Eden and Issak.
He is predeceased by his parents Martin and Hedwig Wuttke. As well as brothers Martin, Karl, Twin brother Wolfgang, and sister Hanna.
There will be a wake held in his honor on Friday November 6 from 4-8pm, at Pelham Funeral Home at 64 Lincoln Ave, Pelham NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to United Lutheran Church, One Wartburg Place, Mt Vernon NY 10552.
