Luis Gomez

Luis Gomez of New Rochelle, NY passed away on October 7, 2021, at the age of 78. Luis was born in Medellin, Columbia to Gabriel and Amanda Gomez. He was one of seven children. Luis immigrated to the United States 42 years ago in 1979. While in the US he met the love of his life, Alba Lucia Gonzalez, and were married in 1993.

Luis loved watching soccer and loved spending time relaxing on the beach. He will be remembered as an all-around family guy, adoring friend, generous and loving man.

Luis is survived by his wife; Alba Lucia Gonzalez, his children; Freddy (Katy) Gomez, Steven (Luba) Gomez, Juan Fernando Gomez, and Vanessa Gomez, his brothers; Gabriel (Celina) Gomez, Otoniel (Beatrice) Gomez, and Climaco (Dollie) Gomez, his sisters; Magnolia Gomez, Lucia Gomez, Olivia Gomez, his beloved Grandchildren; Emanuel Gomez, Milena Gomez and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Luis will be missed by his family and everyone who knew him. Luis is preceded in death by his beloved Parents, Gabriel Gomez and Amanda Gomez.

A Celebration of Luis’s life will be held at Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave, Village of Pelham, NY on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 5:30-8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 575 Fowler Avenue on Monday, October 11th at 11:00 am.
