Lucille Fullerton

June 20, 1917 — June 26, 2019

Lucille Josephine Fullerton, a long-time resident of New Rochelle, passed away on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019. She was 102 years old.

Lucille was born in Cohoes, NY to George & Aline Brouillette Phillips. She attended St. Bernard's Academy until her family relocated to New Rochelle in 1930. It was at New Rochelle High School that she met Jack Fullerton – the love of her life. She continued her studies at the College of New Rochelle. She and Jack enjoyed nearly thirty years of marriage until his sudden death in 1973. After raising her family, she returned to work, eventually retiring as an administrative secretary for the New Rochelle Board of Education.

Lucille was never idle. She took great joy in playing bridge and piano, spending time at The Davenport Beach Club, watching the ponies at Saratoga, engaging in philosophical conversation, and hosting parties for countless friends and relatives. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her many, many "upstate" relatives.

A devout Catholic, she gave her time and energy to her beloved Holy Family Church; she was equally generous and selfless to all around her.

Lucille leaves behind her children; Charron Fullerton (Lee Eighmy), John (Cathy) Fullerton, Lucille (Jonathan) Misner. She is survived by 6 grandchildren: Scott, Kristin, Aline, Anne, John, Elizabeth and by 6 great grandchildren: Robert, Jonathan, Emma, Eva, Alessandra, and Livia, and her cherished sister-in-law, Gloria Phillips, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings: George Phillips and Aline "Eenie" McCarthy.
