Leila Ragin of Pelham, NY passed away on October 16, 2021. She was 78 years old. Born in New York, NY to Alfred Lavallina and Leila Davis.

Leila worked for the MTA for 37 years as a senior budget advisor. Even after retiring, Leila was always willing to help and assist her former co-workers when they needed help and guidance. She was the go-to person for those who knew her. Leila was a member of her church choir and enjoyed singing. She had a kind heart and always wanted her children and family around. Leila was very family oriented and loved spending time with them.

Leila is survived by her son; Damon Christopher Ragin, her daughter; Elizabeth Ann Lavallina, her cousins; Marsha and Edward Benovengo, her five beloved godchildren; Jennean Gadsen, Rory Thompson, Quintin Davis, Gerard Davis, Derek Monk and her dearest friends; Joanne Schiaroli, Barbara Quigley and Sharilyn Ellis-Orr. Leila will be missed by everyone who knew her. Leila is predeceased by her husband, Bernard Ragin.

A Celebration of Leila's Life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Saturday, October 23 from 10:00 am -11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.
