Lea Corazon Lam of Bronx, NY passed away on Saturday, July 2. She was 58 years old. Born in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines, she was one of nine children of Servillano and Leonora Ceniza. Raised in a loving and active household, Lea attended school and graduated with a BS in Nursing from Velez College of Nursing. She began her nursing career right out of school. Lea expatriated to the United States in 1983 when she got an opportunity to be part of a nursing exchange program.
Upon arriving in the United States, Lea went to work for Bronx Lebanon Hospital in the Bronx as a Registered Nurse. She loved nursing and made many life long friends at the Hospital. One such friend was Lloyd Lam who she would meet and date and marry in 1992. The two had a beautiful daughter together.
Lea enjoyed gardening, cooking, singing and dancing. She loved to enjoy life and was kind, loving and patient. Her family and friends meant the world to her and in turn, they loved the caring person that she was.
Lea is survived by her husband, Lloyd and daughter, Arielle, as well as, her mother, Leonora. She will be greatly missed by her eight siblings. She leaves behind many friends and colleagues who will also greatly miss her.
A celebration of Lea's life will take place on Friday, July 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip Neri's Church, 3025 Grand Concourse, NY at 10:45 AM on Saturday, July 9th. Interment will follow directly at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
