Kevin John Carmody

Kevin J. Carmody, of Albany, NY, passed away on December 18th, 2021. He was 79 years old. Born in Albany, New York to William and Annabelle Carmody, Kevin was one of three children.

Kevin was a three-sport athlete, excelling in basketball. A graduate of Siena College, Kevin earned his accounting degree and began his career at Peat Marwick. After taking a job at Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, CT, Kevin eventually moved on to work for Bristol Myers in Manhattan and settled in Briarcliff Manor, NY where he raised his family and stayed for 25 years. He departed from Bristol Myers to pursue his passion for golf and opened a golf store in White Plains, NY. He gained many friendships through the game of golf. Kevin was also passionate about Corvettes and classic cars. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Kevin is survived by his sons; Christopher Carmody (Laura Shemonsky), Terry (Connie) Carmody, his daughters; Maureen (William) Chimento, Leigh (Ronald) Parker, and his beloved grandchildren; Kailee Chimento, Mackenzie Chimento, Christopher Carmody, Caroline Carmody, and Olivia Carmody. Kevin is predeceased by his brothers; Brendan Carmody and Brian Carmody.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, New York on Tuesday, December 21st, from 4:00-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help located at 559 Pelham Manor Rd, Pelham, New York on Wednesday, December 22nd at 10:00am.
