Joseph Sicuranza

Joseph Sicuranza of Pelham passed away on Friday, November 6th, he was 92 years old. Joseph was born in Guardia Lombardi, Italy to Pasqual and Gaetana Sicuranza. At the age of 15, Joseph came to the Untied States. Joseph would serve in the Untied States Army from 1943 through 1946 and receive the Good Conduct and Victory Medals. After his US Army service was concluded, Joseph would meet Rose Marrano. Joseph and Rose were married on December 5th, 1948 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Mt Vernon, NY. The two moved to Pelham where they would raise their children - James, Lucy, and Donna.Joseph was an avid bowler and golfer as well as a dedicated member of the Italian Club of Mt Vernon - The Guardia Lombardi Association. However, his most valued time was spent with his family. Joseph is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose Sicuranza and his children: James (Donna) Sicuranza, Lucy (Andy) Bozzone, Donna (Henry) Gregorek. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Alexandra and Michael Sicuranza. Joseph is predeceased by his brothers Angelo and Vincent Sicuranza.
A Celebration of Joseph's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, November 11 th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Church of St. Catharine located at 25 Second Avenue, Pelham, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 12th . Interment will take place following the Church at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
