Jorge Laureano of Mt. Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2017 while traveling over seas with 18 of his closest family and friends. He was 56. Jorge was born in the Bronx, NY on November 23, 1960 to David Laureano & Luz Marrero. Jorge graduated from SUNY Maritime College in 1983 earning a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering. He went on to work for Crowley Maritime in Louisiana. Later, to be closer to home, he began as a Bank Teller at Green Point Bank before working his way up to real estate appraiser. In 1997, he started his own company CRK Real Estate Appraisal in Mt. Vernon, NY.
Jorge was an avid Yankee fan. Most importantly, Jorge will be remembered as a supportive and dependable family-man, who loved traveling with and being surrounded by his family. Jorge will not only be missed by all those he touched by his generosity but also by his loyal companion Charlie, his beloved German Shepherd.
As well as being survived by his parents, Jorge is survived by his loving wife LeMarie (Ramos) Laureano and his children Christian, Ryan and Kaitlin. This year, October 11, the couple would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
A Celebration of Jorge's life will take place on Thursday, August 10, 2017 and Friday, August 11, 2017 from 4:00pm-6:30pm at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY.
