Jonathan R. Warner of Pelham, New York passed away on September 5, 2019. He was 82 years old and a long time resident of Pelham.
Jonathan was a widely recognized research scientist and professor of Molecular biology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He served on many editorial boards and advisory committees, including the Harvey Society, Scientific Advisory Committee of the American Cancer Society and Visiting Committees and Boards of Trustees for Yale, Cold Spring Harbor and MIT. He was an outstanding academic and educational leader, inspiring generations of medical and graduate students.
Jonathan was an avid fly fisherman (pledged to Trout release ), love the arts, theater, traveling and playing tennis and golf with his friends. His inquisitive and adventurous nature sprang from his childhood in the quarries of Dorset, Vermont
Jonathan was devoted to his wife of 61 years, Nancy, his twin daughters, Deborah ( Michael Ungar ) and Anne ( Michael Makuch ), his four grandchildren, Katherine, Nancy, Sarah and Elizabeth as well as his brother, William Warner ,his sister, Anne Warner Bishop and their families.
