John Raymond Farrell of New Rochelle, New York passed away on April 2nd 2020. He was 90 years old. John was born in the Bronx to John and Amelia Farrell. He had one sister Eileen. He was raised in the Bronx where he attended All Hallows High School. Upon graduating high school John attended Manhattan College.
Upon completion of his studies studies, John enlisted in the army, in the tank corp and proudly served his country. On his return, he worked at First National City Bank as a teller and later a loan investigator. In his spare, time he enjoyed watching sports whether it was college or professional. He loved to root for Manhattan College Jaspers and could be found at many of the games. If he was not at a Jasper game you could find him at the Historic Track in Goshen were he served on the Board as Treasurer. He also had a passion for and a great knowledge of the theater.
John will be remembered as a generous person. He donated to many charities especially Blessed Sacrament Church. Enjoying life, he lived it to the fullest. John was a pleasure to be with and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his niece Dr. Maureen (Dr. Noel) Matturri Testa, his grand-nephew's Dr. Paul and Dr Nicholas Testa.
