Israel Soto

July 12, 1946 — December 24, 2020

Israel Soto of Bronx, New York went home to God on December 24th 2020. He was 74 years old. Born in Puerto Rico to Santos Soto and Herminia Quintana, Israel was one of 11 children. He was raised in Puerto Rico where he attended local school. Israel worked in construction in Puerto Rico and moved to New York in 1967 with his wife Luz Perez. Israel and Luz met in Puerto as childhood friends. They grew up together and fell in love and as they say the rest is history.

Israel was a hard working immigrant. He worked at a car wash when he first came to New York. He was a hard worker and great provider. After working at the car wash Israel would begin a life long career at President Container. He started as an apprentice and worked his way up to press operator. Israel lived in the Bronx where he would raise his family. He was blessed with his three children whom were his pride and joy. Family was everything to Israel. He would take his family every summer to Puerto Rico. On a Sunday you could find him with his children at the Ice-cream store.

Israel will be remembered as a family man. He was loving, strong, kind, honorable and generous. He will be missed by his wife of 54 years Luz Perez, his children Israel, Yecenia and Linda Soto, his five grand-children and one great grand-child. He will be missed by his large family circle and everyone he knew.
