Gilda Perri

Gilda C. Perri, of Pelham Manor, NY, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2015. Born the third child of Michele and Anna Sandella, she is survived by her sister, Frances Caldararo, by her five children, Michael (spouse Kathleen), Rae Ann (John Pacifico), Jean (Frank Quiroga), Geraldine (Angelo Petruolo) and Christine (Cory Schwarzchild), her six grandchildren, John Anthony (spouse Angela), Katherine, Nicholas, Matthew, Christina, and James, and one great grandchild, Gianna. Following graduation from Cathedral High School, Gilda married Frank Perri (dec.) and raised her family in Pelham Bay. She later earned an associate degree in Dental Hygiene from Hostos Community College and worked as Supervisor of the Dental Department at Terence Cardinal Cook Healthcare Center. As a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Parish in the Bronx, Gilda was a religious education volunteer, a Eucharistic minister, and a lay member of the Order of St. Dominic. Gilda was a loving mother and grandmother, passionate cook, caring volunteer and devoted member of the Catholic Church. A wake will be held on Sunday March 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Pelham Funeral Home (64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham) and a funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (559 Pelham Manor Road, Pelham) on Monday, March 30th, at 10am.
