Francine E. Andreoli, 52.
Francine Andreoli, a long-time resident of Pelham, died last week of natural causes.
Fran was born in New York City on June 7, 1959 to the late Peter D. Andreoli and Catherine F.Andreoli, nee McCarthy. She was a graduate of School of the Holy Child in Rye, Class of 1977, and Lehigh University, Class of 1981 and obtained a post-graduate certificate in paralegal studies. She worked in the Criminal Appeals Bureau of The Legal Aid Society in Manhattan, where she was also a union representative, from 1986 until 2005, when she became disabled due to complications of diabetes.
Fran cared deeply for others and among other things, volunteered for a suicide crisis hotline. She was devoted to her family, and, when physically able, was the primary
caregiver for her mother Catherine, and caregiver and godmother to her nephews Michael and Kevin Cannella.
Fran is survived by her mother Catherine, brothers Peter and Brian, sisters Christine and Catherine,
sister-in-law Eileen, nieces Eleanor, Michelle, Kristen, and Rebecca, nephews Peter, Michael, Kevin, Greg and Patrick, her aunt Toni McCarthy and McCarthy cousins,
and many friends who loved her for her infinite kindness, generous spirit and quiet courage.
The family will receive friends at the Pelham Funeral Home,
located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY 10803, on Friday,
February 10 between 2 and 4 p.m.and between 7 to 9 p.m. in the evening. A funeral service will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home on Saturday, February 11 followedby burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American
Heart Association or the American
Diabetes Association.
