Farah Philippeau

Farah Philippeau of New Rochelle, New York, passed away on February 9, 2023. She was 40 years old. Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti to Andre and Marie Philippeau. Farah was one of 3 children. Farah graduated from  New Rochelle High School. She would later meet herhusband Aufilo. The couple would marry and raise their two children.

Farah was an avid book reader and learner, she defied the rules of the norm by graduating as an LPN, two days before graduating high school.  She was extremely intelligent and multilingual. 

Farah worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Clark Medical Care, and as a RN at 

Montefiore Hospital – Wakefield Division. She had a strong work ethic and loved her job. Farah always made sure family came first and always enjoyed spending time surrounded by family and friends. 

Farah will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, relative and wonderful friend. She will be dearly missed; however, herfamily finds comfort in the many treasured memories she leaves behind.

Farah is survived by her husband, Aufilo, her daughter Ayana and son Stephen. Her father and mother, Andre and Marie, and her brothers , Franciou and Bob. She will be missed by her relatives and friends. 

A celebration of Farah’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham, NY, 10803, on Friday, February 24, 2023,between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 9:00 AM at St Catherine AME Zion Church, located at 19 Lincoln Ave, New Rochelle, NY 10801. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
