Evelyn Cassone

Evelyn Cassone died peacefully on December 11, 2020 at Montefiore Hospital in New Rochelle, New York after a brief illness. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Cassone was born on February 11, 1936 to Frank and Louise (Sileo) DiFabbio in New Rochelle. Evelyn graduated from the New Rochelle High School in 1954 and worked in various businesses as a secretary in New Rochelle. On September 8, 1962 she married John R. Cassone from Harrison, NY. They moved to Pelham, NY and resided there since their marriage. Evelyn gave birth to a son, John in 1965. At this time, she became a stay-at-home Mom to take care of her family. She loved her home and throughly enjoyed baking, cooking and reading.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, John. She is also survived by her niece, Carol Nardone and her nephew, Frank Nardone. She will be missed by her many cousins and aunt Frances DiFabbio who is 104 years old. Evelyn is pre-deceased by her son, John, who died in 2015.

Evelyn will be reposing at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue in Pelham, New York on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 1:00-4:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catharine's Church in Pelham, New York on Wednesday, December 16 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Port Chester, New York.
