Eugenia J. Jules

Eugenia Jules of Mount Vernon, NY, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024. She was 85 years old. Born in Curepe, Trinidad & Tobago to George and Daisy Scott, Eugenia was one of seven children. Eugenia graduated from Trinidad and Tobago High School where she met the love of her life, her husband of 60 years, Claudius Jules. Eugenia and Claudius raised their four children, Belinda, Merlene, Meigan and Melissa in Mount Vernon, NY. 

Eugenia worked as an Eligibility Examiner for Westchester County, Board of Education and Hamilton Elementary School. She had a strong work ethic and loved her job. Eugenia always made sure family came first and always enjoyed spending times surrounded by family and friends. 

 Eugenia will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, daughter- in- law, sister-in-law, relative and wonderful friend. She will be dearly missed; however, her family finds comfort in the many treasured memories she leaves behind.

 Eugenia is survived by her daughters, Belinda Jules-Perez, Merlene and Meigan Jules and Melissa Jules Henry and her grandchildren, Kyle Aaron Jules-Hynds, Lance Jules-Henry, Zuri Jules-Culver and Zen Jules, she is also survived by her siblings and many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be deeply missed by her close family, friends and everyone who knew her.

Eugenia is predeceased by her husband, Claudius.

 A celebration of Eugenia’s life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham NY on Monday July 1, 2024 from 4-8 PM. A mass of Christian burial will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 575 Fowler Ave. Pelham, NY 10803 on Tuesday July 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
