Elizabeth was a dedicated and cherished member of her community. She worked as a crossing guard in Pelham for many years and volunteered at local election polling stations. Known for her vibrant spirit and generous heart, Elizabeth enjoyed bowling, cooking, and baking—pastimes she shared with family and friends.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her  kindness, honesty, and compassion. Her love touched the lives of all who knew her. Above all, she was devoted to her family, especially her five children and seven grandchildren, who were the lights of her life.

She is survived by her five sons: Joseph (Mary) DeStasio, Richard (Rachel) DeStasio, Robert (Suzanne) DeStasio, Michael DeStasio, and Ralph DeStasio; and her seven grandchildren: Richard Jr., Matthew, Michael, Emily, Joseph, Andrew, and Ana. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; her parents; and her siblings, John Cerra and Joan Tracey.
