Eleanor Mary Frezzo passed away on Monday, September 21. She was 84 years old. Born and raised in Pelham, NY she graduated from Pelham Memorial High School in 1947. She met her husband Vincent Frezzo in MT. Vernon, NY after his service in WW II and the two would marry in 1955.
Eleanor worked for Chemical Bank in the Pelham Branch Office after graduating from PMHS. Her true calling however would be that of wife and mother raising her four children: Paula, Vincent, Cindy and Lisa. She was a loving and nurturing mother. She was a faithful volunteer at St. Catharine's Church as well as Pelham Memorial High School. When not volunteering she could be found enjoying a good book, music, or an old movie.
Eleanor is survived by her husband of 60 years Vincent Paul Frezzo and by her children Paula and Chris Courtien of Pelham; son Vincent and Brendan Skislock of New York City & Bridgehampton; daughter Cindy and Bobby Courtien of Pelham; and Lisa Frezzo of White Plains. Eleanor will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Kristin, Stephanie, Rachel and Dane. She will be remembered by her great grand daughter, Brooke. Her brother Michael Rosanova will dearly miss her.
A Celebration of Eleanor's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23rd. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 24th at the Church of St. Catharine, 25 Second Avenue, Pelham, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to The Church of St. Catharine's in Eleanor's name.
