Eamon Ryan passed away Monday, April 17.
A lover of life's simple pleasures â a cup of coffee, music and the boxing match on TV, Eamon was a trusted friend and companion to anyone around him. An expert chef, he could be counted on for a gourmet home cooked meal. He had a genuinely selfless and loving nature â animals and children were his best friends. Having a way with words, the craic was never far and a story close at hand. He took pride in his work and spent 20 years on construction sites in New York City, building a place near to his heart. He leaves behind his loving girlfriend, many friends and family, including his mother, Anne; father, Edward; siblings David and Sandra, as well as his beloved niece and nephews.
Join us for calling hours on Friday, April 21 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham New York. Eamon will return to Ireland and burial will take place on Monday, April 24th at Bennettsbridge Cemetery, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Eamon's name to: The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, 30 Ashton Heights; Newry, Co. Down; BT35 8LR; Northern Ireland, UK
--- Truly, it is in darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us.
---To be full of things is to be empty of God. To be empty of things is to be full of God.
He who would be serene and pure needs but one thing, detachment.
---Man goes far away or near but God never goes far-off; he is always standing close at hand, and even if he cannot stay within, he goes no further than the door.
