Dominic Andrew Cervoni

Dominic Andrew Cervoni, DDS, of New Rochelle, formerly of Pelham, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was 87 years old. Born in the Bronx to Joseph and Madeline, Dominic was one of four children. Dominic went to Stuyvesant High School in NYC before furthering his education at Manhattan College. He later attended Georgetown Dental School in Washington DC where he would meet Carmel Fama, his future wife of 61 years. After a 2-year courtship, Dominic and Carmel married in June of 1955. Dominic served in the USAF before establishing his dental practice in the Parkchester section of the Bronx in 1957.

Dominic's life revolved around his love of family and dentistry. He is described as a caring and charitable man, frequently taking in people who had nowhere else to go. Dominic loved to travel, enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid photographer, who was never without his camera at family and social events. He was a member of the NYAC, where he enjoyed playing tennis. Dominic was a faithful parishioner of St. Catharine's Church. A devoted, loving and respected man, he will be missed by his wife, Carmel, and his children Anne Krichilsky (Ronald), Laura, Elizabeth, Paula, Stephanie Bellantoni, (Michael) and Thomas Cervoni (Kathleen). He also leaves behind his sister Catherine Mackenzie, 12 grandchildren and is now reunited with one grandchild who predeceased him.

Dominic's life will be celebrated at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham, NY on Tuesday February 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday February 15th, at the Church of St. Catharine, 25 Second Ave. in Pelham NY. Interment will follow the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains NY.
