Debra Ann Ackerman

On Sunday,March 28th,2021,Debra Ackerman loving Mother and Grandmother passed
away at the age of 61.
Debra,or Debbie as she liked to be called,was born March 22,1960 and Adopted by
Stanley Ackerman and Roslyn Ackerman. She received her Master's degree in Education
at Brooklyn College and was a special education teacher for 33 years. She raised her
son,Scott Ackerman.
Debbie was an amazing woman,she loved bowling, spending time with her friends and
family. But what she enjoyed the most was being a mother and then a grandmother. She
did enjoy the occasional drink,but mostly enjoyed the company more. She loved her soap
operas and kids cartoons. She was extremely kind, funny, and outspoken. She was
greatly loved by her family and her friends.
She was preceded by her Father Stanley and her Mother Roslyn. She is survived by her
Son,Scott,her daughter in law, Victoria and her grandson,Brian. A funeral will be held on
Tuesday,April 6th,2021 at St.Catherine of Siena church,411 East 68th street,N.Y,
