David B. Selleck of Pelham, NY died on April 2, 2013. He was born in Bay Shore, NY on October 4, 1931 to the late Lewis and Margaret (Sorensen) Selleck. Beloved husband,of 50 years, of Barbara Hang Selleck, devoted father of Timothy D. (Gloria) Selleck of Taylor, Tx, William A. (Meredith) Selleck of Bow, NH, and Lauren M. Selleck of Pelham. He was the cherished grandfather of Weston,

I Thayer, Samuel, Matthew and Olivia. He was the loving uncle of 3 nieces and 4 nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Burnell Hall Selleck of East Lansing, MI and his sister Merle Selleck Brown of Eastport, NY.

David grew up in East Setauket, NY. He graduated from Colgate University and recieved his master's degrees from Columbia University Teachers College and from Wesleyan University. He taught science for neariy 40 years at Albert Leonard Middle School in New Rochelle, NY, retiring in 1995. He always enjoyed being approached by his former students. He had an avid interest in genealogy, science, gardening, and fixing things in his home. An Eagle Scout himself, he was an Assistant Scoutmaster and Advancement Chairman for Troop 1 in Pelham for many years. He was a member of Huguenot Memorial Church in Pelham where a Memorial Service is being planned for June 15th at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Three Village Historical Society, 93 North Country Road, East Setauket, NY 11733 or Huguenot Memorial Church, 901 Pelham dale Avenue, Pelham, NY 10803 would be apreciated.
