Crystal Michele Barino of Mount Vernon, New York, passed away on July 25, 2022. She was 56 years old. Born in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY to Michael and Geraldine Barino, Crystal was one of two children. Crystal graduated from Mable Dean Bacon High School in 1983. She also attended Norfolk State University in Virginia and LaGuardia Community College, Long Island City. Crystal moved to Westchester, NY in 2002, where she raised her two children, Avon and Iman.
Crystal worked as a Claims Specialist for over twenty years. She had a strong work ethic and loved Her job. When still living in Brooklyn, Crystal volunteered with the New York Corporation, which worked to help make improvements to the neighborhood. Crystal always made sure family came first and always enjoyed spending time surrounded by family and friends.
Crystal will be remembered as a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and wonderful friend. She will always be remembered for her love of baking, especially her Sweet Potato Cheesecake Pie. She will be dearly missed; however, her family finds comfort in the many treasured memories she leaves behind.
Crystal leaves to cherish Avon Brown (son) Iman Hannie Brown (daughter), Michael Barino (brother) sister-in-law Tiffany Barino, Aunt Lynn Bunny Stephens Lewis, Uncle Johnnie H. Lewis, Aunt Donna Virginia Stephens, Rhonda Fladger (cousin/sister), nephews and (nieces) Javen, Amari Khiari, Bishmie ,Osh, Jasmine, Antione, Jordan, Richard (cousins) Sonjia and Mark Bevins, Michelle Stephens, Renee Umstead Suker,Ron and Jayla.
Crystal is predeceased by her mother Geraldine Barino, father Michael Barino,Sr. Uncle William (Billy) and Teddy Stephens
Today we celebrate a mother, sister, cousin and friend.
A celebration of Crystal's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham, NY on Friday July 29, 2022, between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery, located at 750 E.
