Courtland Warren Troutman

Courtland W. Troutman of Pelham Manor passed away on January 6, 2015. Cody was born in 1929 in Reading, PA to Warren and Orpah Troutman. An only child, he graduated from Harvard College, magna cum laude in 1951 and from Harvard Law School in 1954. He married Patricia Worthington in 1954. Cody served in the army intelligence services in Stuttgart, Germany from 1954 to1956. He was a member of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft from 1956 to 1994; at the firm, he served as one of the managing partners for many years. Cody will be remembered as a distinguished man whose integrity and sense of fair play ensured the respect of his colleagues and friends. He loved to play golf, travel, garden, and spend time at his house in Columbia County. He will be missed by his wife, his son Curt, his daughter Gretchen and his two grandchildren. A Celebration of Cody's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, January 11th.
