Carol A. Terranova, A longtime resident of New Rochelle, NY, passed away on February 11, 2022. She was 82 years old. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY to Matthew and Fay Ferrigno Lembo. Carol was one of five children. She was raised in New Rochelle where she attended St. Gabriel’s High School in New Rochelle. She would marry her husband of 40 years, Robert, who predeceased her in 2015.
Carol worked as a Legal Secretary for Liberty Lines Bus Company as a Paralegal before becoming a Human Resource Manager. Thereafter, she worked for Kommer, Bave & Ollman, ESQS in New Rochelle. She was an exceptional cook, family dinners were important to Carol, especially Christmas Eve Dinner.
Carol was a parishioner of St Joseph’s Church in New Rochelle, NY for most of her life, then became a parishioner at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Brigantine, NJ. Carol loved spending time with her 3 granddaughters. She loved to knit hangers and make baby blankets for close friends and family, but especially loved knitting blankies for her granddaughters. She enjoyed playing computer games and playing cards with her family and friends. Her favorite place to be was at the Condo in Brigantine, NJ, which she called “God’s Country.”
Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her daughter, Barbara Marciante; her three grandchildren, Melanie, Jillian, and Sabrina; her loving siblings Angela Goetze, Debbie Coppola and Matthew Lembo; her sweet dogs, Tucker and Tiffin, who adored her and never left her side. She will be missed by her many nephews, nieces, extended family, and many friends. Carol will be missed by everyone that knew her. Carol is predeceased by her husband Robert Terranova, and her sister Marie Vivona.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Ave., Pelham NY on Tuesday February 15, 2022, from 4-8PM. A Catholic Mass will take place at St Joseph’s Church located at 280 Washington Ave., New Rochelle, NY on Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 10AM.
