Carol A. Hilton

December 6, 1950 — February 14, 2022

Carol A. Hilton of Mount Vernon, New York, passed away on February 14, 2022. She was 71 years old. Born in Harlem, NY to George and Lavern Hilton, Carol was one of thirteen children. Carol graduated from Mount Vernon High School and later attended Purchase college where she received an associates degree. She would later meet Robert Thompson at a park both frequented. Robert would walk his Akita by the same bench Carol would sit at. One hello led to a date which then led to 33 years of a loving relationship. Carol and Robert were two of a kind and always took good care of their family.

Carol worked as the administrative secretary for Schnurmacher Nursing home and Rehabilitation Center in White Plains from the late 1980s up until she retired in 2015. She had a strong work ethic and loved her job. Carol made sure family came first and always enjoyed spending times surrounded by her loved ones.

Carol loved to cook and was known for her seafood lasagna and shrimp fried rice. She can be described as a “foodie," someone who loves good food. Going out to dinner Carol would order her dinner to eat in restaurant and then order one to go. Carol enjoyed good food, delicious pastries, movies, tv, painting weekly at the art studio, and listening to 80s R&B as well as Motown.

Carol was the matriarch of the family; someone the entire family could depend on. Robert and Carol would always make sure their grandchildren and great grandchildren never went without. Carol was beautiful, spicey, loving, generous, strong willed, and family oriented. Carol will be remembered as a devoted partner, mother, grandmother, and wonderful friend. She will be dearly missed; however, her family finds comfort in the many treasured memories she leaves behind.

Carol is survived by her partner of 33 years; Robert Thompson, her daughters; Aundrea (Kevin) Hilton-Lewis, Lacoyia Hilton, her Brothers; Anthony (Desiree) Hilton, Ronnie (Esther) Hilton, her sisters; Irma (Kahtriel) Vanterpool, Kathy Bennett, Gloria Hilton, Rebecca Hilton, Veronica Hilton, Rachel Hilton,  Debra Hilton and Tracy Foster. Carol is survived by her beloved Grandchildren; Janiah Lee, Marvin Brown, Anthony Lee, Tyler Lee, Taylor Lee, Aleila Lewis and her great grandchildren; Kace Lee, Mailon Brown, and Journee Lee.
